This work is a translation and visualisation of Don DeLillo's novel White Noise (1985). To create it the text of DeLillo's novel was converted to 4.6 MB of binary code. This data was split into 204 files and reformatted as a series of portable bitmaps, the black and white pixels of which represent the ones and zeroes of binary. These files were then sequenced into an animation reminiscent of a fuzzy TV screen, in effect burying an encoded version of the source text within one of its visual motifs.
